臺灣黃眼草（拉丁學名：Xyris formosana），中國特有植物。叢生草本植物。葉狹線形，側面扁平，頂端漸尖，干時具條紋，邊緣具微小乳突，葉鞘具彩云閣狀突起。主要生長于沼澤濕地。臺灣黃眼草列入《世界自然保護聯盟紅色名錄》（IUCN）中，保護級別為瀕危（EN）。

花序特征
臺灣黃眼草花葶圓柱形或近圓柱狀；頭狀花序近球形；基部苞片橢圓形，頂端微缺，沿中脈上半部有乳突，并具4條下行側脈；中部苞片寬橢圓形，下端較狹，有5-7條下行脈，而外側的脈常彎曲，苞片上部有一正三角形的乳突區，頂端具小刺尖，中脈處增厚，暗褐色，邊緣薄而色較淺。
臺灣黃眼草側生的2枚萼片舟狀，彎曲，膜質而透明，長4-6毫米，寬1.4-2毫米，頂端銳尖或稍尖，通常上部邊緣有細鋸齒，背部彩云閣狀突起較窄，兩邊不等，向基部漸狹；中間的萼片風帽狀，長約2.5毫米，薄而透明，具1脈；花瓣具3脈，檐部倒卵形；雄蕊長約0.4毫米，寬0.1毫米，內面的膛室比外面者稍長，鈍頭；藥隔有膜質翅；退化雄蕊長約4毫米，頂端2分叉，畫筆狀；子房倒卵形，寬約2.5毫米；花柱上部3裂。
