福建中旅集團公司位于福建省福州市鼓樓區(qū)湖東路171號中旅大廈五樓，是福建省國有資產監(jiān)督管理委員會直屬的國有企業(yè)，其前身是1949年11月19日在福建省廈門市成立的聞名海內外的新中國第一家“華僑服務社”。
福建中旅集團公司
（下稱福建中國旅游集團）顧名思義，它最早成立的目的是為海外華人、華僑及港澳臺同胞回國探親旅游提供服務。隨著各地華僑服務社相繼成立，全國華僑旅行服務總社于1957年4月22日成立，并于1974年成立中國旅行社。1987年，各地中旅社由中央下放歸屬地方管理，為了適應深化改革，擴大開放和我國旅游事業(yè)迅猛發(fā)展的形勢要求，經福建省政府授權省經委于1988年12月28日批準，以福建省中國旅行社為核心，下轄廈門市、泉州市、石獅市、漳州、武夷山市等8個子公司的福建中旅集團公司正式成立。福建中國旅游集團主要經營范圍包括對旅游、賓館、餐飲業(yè)、公路運輸業(yè)的投資管理、咨詢服務和人員培訓等。2004年7月，福建中旅集團成為由福建省國資委履行出資人職責的首批省屬企業(yè)之一，2005年7月，經福建省國資委核準集團公司的注冊資本增資變更為35527.1萬元。
2007年，集團公司進行重組整合，將過去以地域分塊的管理架構重組整合為垂直化、專業(yè)化的管理體系，發(fā)展成為融旅行社、飯店、旅運為主業(yè)的一體化、綜合性的大型旅游集團。福建中旅集團公司子公司遍布全省各地市，現(xiàn)有6家二級專業(yè)總公司，即：福建省中國旅行社、福建中旅飯店管理公司、福建中旅汽車公司、福建中旅資產經營公司、福建中旅物業(yè)管理公司和福建中旅實業(yè)股份公司。
