膜翅目小繭蜂科（Braconidae）昆蟲(chóng)之通稱，簡(jiǎn)稱繭蜂。與姬蜂近似，多為小型種類，腹部短寬。為鱗翅目、鞘翅目、同翅目、雙翅目中多種害蟲(chóng)的天敵。

小繭蜂的幼蟲(chóng)在寄主體內(nèi)化蛹或老熟后鉆出，在寄主體表結(jié)成黃色或白色小繭化蛹，有時(shí)數(shù)十只集聚在一起。如菜粉蝶絨繭蜂（Apantelesglomeratus），長(zhǎng)約3毫米，寄生于菜粉蝶幼蟲(chóng)體內(nèi)，幼蟲(chóng)老熟后在寄主體表結(jié)許多黃色小繭.麥蚜繭蜂（EphedrusplaAgiator），在麥蚜、桃蚜等體內(nèi)化蛹。每個(gè)蚜蟲(chóng)體內(nèi)只有1頭蜂，寄主顏色變深并膨硬如球，羽化時(shí)自腹部背面咬穿1圓孔飛出另尋寄主.中華繭蜂（Braconchinensis），長(zhǎng)約4毫米，是稻螟和甘蔗螟蟲(chóng)常見(jiàn)的寄生蜂
